On Sunday, July 13, Vera Thibodeaux Baudoin peacefully entered eternal rest, surrounded by love and memories that will live on forever. A proud resident of Marrero for over 40 years, Vera touched the lives of many with her kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family. Vera dedicated over three decades to serving at Immaculate Conception School’s cafeteria, where she made lifelong friendships.
Family was the heart of Vera’s world. She leaves behind her cherished son Brett, his wife Kristine, and her adored grandchildren, Nicholas and Reese—who she lovingly called her "heart and soul." Vera took immense pride in being part of their lives, never missing a moment to support, encourage, and celebrate them. Whether she was serving as “MawMaw taxi” to avoid the school bus or simply cuddling her beloved grand pups, her love knew no bounds.
She is also lovingly remembered by her sister Peggie (Gene), her brothers William and Buddy, and her sister-in-law Alice and brother in law Wayne. Vera’s circle of love extended to her godchildren and a large family of nieces and nephews who affectionately knew her as “Nanny” or “Nanny B.” Each held a special place in her heart.
Vera now reunites in peace with her beloved husband, Eulis Baudoin Jr., her parents Rose and Lucius, her in-laws Eulis Sr. And Cecile, her brothers LJ and Johnny, her sisters-in-law Lucille and Esther, and her brothers-in-law Jimmy, Jerry, and Andrew.
Vera lived a life rich in love, laughter, and loyalty. Her warm smile, selfless spirit, and deep devotion to those she loved will be remembered always. She leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love and treasured memories that will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to have known her.
