Nova Dee Hatten Carbo entered into eternal rest on August 16, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Mitchell "Bubby" Carbo Jr. Mother of Gayle C. Guidroz (Leo Jr.) and Vickie C. Seymour (late Rick). Grandmother of Tomidee V. Guillot (Geoffrey), Melissa Guidroz, Lauren V. Seymour (John), Kyle Scivicque (Susan), and Amy Guidroz (Daniel). Great-grandmother of Morgan, Avery, Piper, Neil, Bryson, Lacie, Shelby, Carly, Kara, Gabriel, and Kyson. Daughter of the late William Earl Hatten and Pina Head Hatten. Sister of Bobby G. Hatten (late Betty), and the late Walter "Bert" Hatten (late Mary Ann) and Myron "Dale" Hatten (late Ethel). Age 89 years, a native of Sikes, LA and lifelong resident of Marrero, LA. Nova Dee was a graduate of Marrero High School and spent her career with the Louisiana Department of Transportation. She had a passion for sports and traveling. She was very active in the Jefferson Parish Golden Age Clubs since 1990. She competed in the district and state Senior Olympic games for over 20 years earning numerous medals in bowling, shuffle board, washer pitch, and darts. She was inducted into the Greater New Orleans Senior Olympic Hall of Fame in 2017. She was an avid bowler since the 50's and ran several bowling leagues. She enjoyed line dancing and playing cards. Nova Dee was always planning her next adventure whether it be a cruise, bus or train trip, or just a seafood boil with family and friends. MiMi will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by all. Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Friday, August 22, 2025 at 11 AM. Visitation will be held from 9 AM until service time. Interment Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Avondale, LA.
