Vera Louise Kruse, age 84, of Gladewater, passed away on October 21, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was born on February 18, 1939, in Arkansas to Verden and Edna Allison.
Lou was a loving Christian wife, momma, nanna, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Lou’s children were the light of her life. She loved cooking for Jody and sewing for Teresa. Lou was very talented and artistic. She oil painted and China painted and often made jewelry. She was known as a porcelain artist where she often taught China painting. She was the best Nanna and loved and cherished her granddaughter Kassidy Jo. Nanna will always be remembered as a precious and loving lady. We loved her so much and she will be missed forever.
Lou is survived by her son, Jody Kruse and wife Tracy of Union Grove; daughter, Teresa St. John and husband Jim of Gladewater; sister, Vivian Roland of Allen; and granddaughter, Kassidy Jo Kruse.
Funeral services for Lou will be held at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater on October 25, 2023, at 2PM with burial following at Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, from 5PM to 7PM at Croley Funeral Home.
The family wishes to thank Accent Hospice for their loving and caring compassion the last several months of Lou’s life. A special thank you to Sabrina, Kayla, Tammy, Haley, Carol, and Karen Morris for your love and kindness.
