Vera Juanita Nix

Belvedere, SC- Funeral Services for Vera Juanita Nix, 88, who entered into rest December 29, 2025, will be conducted Saturday morning at 11 o'clock from the Posey Funeral Chapel. Pastor Reggie Widener officiating. Interment will follow in Pineview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Nix was born March 14, 1937, to the late Lester and Vera Harper Bell in Fannin County, Georgia and she had made Belvedere, South Carolina her home for the past 50 years. She retired from teaching Social Studies at Hephzibah Middle School. Mrs. Nix was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan, enjoyed shopping, square dancing and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Marjorie Maddox.

Surviving members of the family left to cherish her memory include her husband of 59 years, WC Nix; a daughter, Barbara (Mike) Stoll; granddaughters, Felicia (Chris) Barfield and Caitlyn (Stacy) Widener; eight great-grandchildren, Jeremy Johnson, Jr., Matthew Johnson, Kadi Barfield, Tre Barfield, Addisynn Widener, Aubree Widener, William Widener and Emilee Widener and a brother, Jimmy Bell.

Pallbearers will be Chris Barfield, Stacy Widener, Jeremy Johnson, Sr., Jeremy Johnson, Jr., Matthew Johnson and Tre Barfield.
