Vera Oswald passed away on June 1, 2024. She was born on October 14, 1935. A private family service will be held at Green Hills Funeral Home on Sunday, June 9, 2024.  Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Cemetery and serving as pallbearers will be Cole Oswald, Gray Oswald, Austin Hill, and Ryan Hill. Vera was a loving wife, mother, and Granny to 5 children, 12 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Rick Oswald, Tommy Oswald, Tina Oswald Hill, (Ron) Paul Oswald, and Jason Oswald (Carla); grandchildren, Rickey Oswald, (Stacie) Beth Touchton (Mark), Austin Hill (Megan), Ryan Hill (Catherine), Saige Oswald, Kelsey Oswald, Cody Oswald, Cassidy Oswald Wiggins, Cole Oswald, and Gray Oswald; seven great grandchildren; and her brother, John Etheredge (Edna).

Vera was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, E.C. Oswald; her parents, Milton Etheredge and Arcola Harris; brothers, Nobles, Abbie Lee, Herman, and Vernon Etheredge; sisters, Annie Ruth Dunn, Ruby Wickell, and Edna Duke; and grandsons, Justin Oswald and Michael Oswald.

In lieu of flowers, please send memorial gifts to Day Spring Hospice of Enterprise, 100 Professional Lane, Enterprise, AL 36330. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Enterprise Health & Rehabilitation for their support and care during this time.
