Vera (Garcia) Wright, 73, of Essex, Vermont, passed away at home on August 23, 2025, after a period of failing health, with her husband by her side.

Vera grew up in South Burlington and graduated from South Burlington High School. She went on to work at IBM for thirty years as a Production Specialist, where she was known for her strong work ethic and dedication. Independent from a young age, she purchased her first home at just 19 years old, with the guidance and support of her father.

She cherished her memories of the Garcia family farm in Fairfield, VT, and the many family gatherings with her parents in South Burlington. Vera held a special place in her heart for her cousins, BJ and the Garcia girls, whose bond with her lasted throughout her life.

She was predeceased by her parents, Cepriano and Myrtle (North) Garcia; her brothers, Guy and Leo Garcia; and her nephews, CJ and David.

Vera is survived by her beloved husband, David Wright; her sister, Laurie; and her nephews, Adam, Vincent, and Mykala.

Vera will be remembered for her independence, resilience, and devotion to her family.

A private service will be held at the discretion of the family.
