Verdus M. Olson,of Mesa, Arizona, entered into eternal rest, on October 22nd, 2024, at the age of 98. He was born September 14th, 1926, in Platte, South Dakota, to Con and Ida (Nelson) Olson.
Verdus and his two brothers-in-law owned and operated their own business, Superior Septic Services. After retiring, Verdus owned and operated Superior Excavating.
Since childhood Verdus has been part of a non-denominational Christian fellowship.
On August 18th, 1949, Verdus married the love of his life, Wanda Ooley. They shared 69 wonderful years together, until Wanda’s passing on November 1st, 2018. After their marriage, they lived in Indiana, and spent their winters in Arizona.
Verdus was a hardworking, family man who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Verdus is survived by his children Dorinda Crawmer (Dick), Twanette Baker (Kevin), and Delbert Olson (Kathy); grandchildren Kent Crawmer (Kathy), Kevin Crawmer (Brittney), Cole Loveall (Alyssa), Jill Loveall (Gabriel), Chase Loveall, Sarah Olson, Luke Olson, and Joseph Olson; great-grandchildren Ty Crawmer, Macie Crawmer, Kaylynn Anderson (Cobie), Cody Crawmer, Quinn Crawmer, West Loveall, Boone Loveall, and Beau Loveall; and brothers in law Lloyd Ooley (Janice), Ralph Myers (The Late Jinny), and sister-in-law Chong Cha (The Late Alvin); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Verdus is preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Wanda Olson; and his siblings Millie, Dena, Kermit, Alvin, Gretha, George, Ervin, Con Jr., Eleanor, Ina, Virgina, Esther, and Clara.
Visitation will be Saturday November 9th, 2024, at Flanner Buchanan Community Life Center (10612 E. Washington St, Indianapolis, In 46229), from 12-3pm. His funeral will begin at 3pm. He will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery next to his wife. Following, a meal will be provided at the Community Life Center.
