Verlin Earl Willcut

Mr. Verlin Earl Willcut born October 7,1960, and with his loved ones by his side, went home to be with our Lord and Savior January 13, 2023 at the age of 62 years. Verlin shared his home in Poplar Bluff with the love of his life, Debbie. Verlin and Debbie were joined in marriage March 8, 1983.
He is survived by his wife Debbie, his daughter Amber (Wayne) Ogden of Ellsinore, a stepson Chad Dunahoo of Poplar Bluff, two grandsons Connor Kelch and Brennan Ogden of Ellsinore, a granddaughter Mikaela (Lane) Freeman of Poplar Bluff, and a great -grandson Colt. Mikaela's sister Shelby was also very fond of Verlin and claimed him as her grandpa as well.
Verlin was a hardworking man and always had some type of project going. He spent many years in a hay field, tending to cattle, or riding horses. Verlin would spend hours on the back side of his property in a hammock enjoying the view, some bluegrass music and quiet moments; always with the company of his dogs, Cooper and Piper. He loved the Lord, and we are comforted by this as we begin to process his passing.
Verlin was preceded in death by his mother Alline Willcut, his sister Earline Pitt and his father Earl Willcut.
A memorial service will be held at the Ellsinore First General Baptist Church on Tuesday January 17,2023 from 6-8 PM.
