Verna Marie (Lefholz) Holman, 98, of Platte City, Missouri formerly of Lexington, MO passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at the Benton House of Tiffany Springs surrounded by family.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 7, 2022, at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, 1720 S. St., Lexington, MO, 64067, 660-259-2245. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at the funeral home. Interment will be at Lexington Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Trinity United Church of Christ. Memories of Verna and condolences for the family may be left at or on our Facebook Page.
Verna was born on May 7, 1924, in Lexington, Missouri to Samuel "Gus" August and Rosa Pauline (Schannuth) Lefholz. She graduated from Lexington High School. On March 12, 1944, Verna was united in marriage to Robert "R.C." Craig Holman in Lexington. Verna worked for 30 plus years in administration for the Lexington R-V School District. She served as the Secretary to many Superintendents including Leslie Bell, Roy Gerhardt, and Joe Aull. Verna was a devoted life member of Trinity United Church of Christ, she served as the pianist for children's choir, was a member of the bell choir, and Women's Circle #2. In addition to spending time with family and friends, Verna enjoyed crocheting, playing piano, and traveling with The Road Runners group.
Verna is survived by three daughters, Joyce Miller of Platte City, MO, Barbara Burnett and husband Tom of Bozeman, Montana, and Gail Hambrick of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, David Struchtemeyer, Jeff Struchtemeyer, Chris Miller, Cary McAllister, Krista Drake, Kelly Brookins, Kelsey Lemaster, and Anna Pacheco; 12 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Verna was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Struchtemeyer.
