Verna was born December 30, 1948, in Sebring, Florida to Cornelia & Carl Prescott.
She was a loving mom, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved working bees with Pops for many, many years until he gained his wings. She loved having cookouts with her family and friends but most of all she loved her North Carolina Mountains where she spent her last 22 years living before coming home to Florida to spend her last days with her family before gaining her precious wings. Before she passed, she again accepted God as her Lord and Savior.
She was welcomed into Heaven by her loving Husband Willard Smith, along with her two sisters Rema and Pete and two brothers Jesse and Tinker.
She will be surrounded here today by her 4 sons James (George), Carl (Michelle), Puggy (Barbie) and Shane (Angie) along with 11 Grandkids, 16 Great Grandkids, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, friends and family.
Visitation will be Monday, March 24th from 1-2:00 PM with a Celebration of her life at 2 pm at Morris Funeral Chapel, 307 S. Commerce Ave., Sebring.
