Vernon Brown Obituary

His life was a testament to dedication and passion. For thirty years, Vernon served as a railcar inspector for the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroads, a career that included his presidency of the local Brotherhood of Railway Carmen of America. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Vernon's spirit was vibrant and active. He was a dedicated karate instructor in Tonganoxie, Kansas, achieving his black belt at the impressive age of 55. His love for life extended to his cherished dogs, a passion he shared with his love of music and dancing.
Vernon is survived by two sons Vernon V. Brown and Mark Doty; and a daughter Robin Louise Johnson; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. His warmth, dedication, and zest for life will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation at Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs, Kansas from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM on Wednesday, September 17th, followed by a graveside service at 11:00 AM at Edwardsville Cemetery in Edwardsville, Kansas.
