VERNON B. HARYCKI, age 90, of Thorp, WI, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at Oakbrook Health & Rehab in Thorp. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am on Monday, February 17, 2025 at St. Bernard-St. Hedwig Catholic Church in Thorp. Rev. Stanislaus Michael Antony will officiate, and burial will follow in Old St. Hedwig Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 9:30am until time of service.
Vernon Bernard Harycki was born on June 17, 1934 on the home farm in Thorp, WI, to Bernard and Victoria (Olejniczak) Harycki. He was raised on the family farm and received his education at Yeager School and Thorp High School. Vernon spent his entire life on the family farm until his death.
He had many interests, but especially loved farming, hunting, fishing, and the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers.
Vernon was a member of St. Bernard-St. Hedwig Catholic Church, and the Knights of Columbus Queen of Peace Council #4634.
He is survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Vernon was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Irene (Joe) Olejniczak; and two brothers: Edmund (Martha) Harycki, and Conrad (Donna) Harycki.
Vernon's family would like to thank the Jacks families for looking in on Vernon during his final years on the farm.
