Vernon Heitzmann, 76, our beloved Brother, Son, and Uncle passed away on May 10, 2025.
Vernon grew up on the family farm at Gardner ND and graduated high school from Grandin ND. He entered the Navy and went to basic training in San Diego CA. Vernon enjoyed watching sports, reading his maps and newspapers, and playing Bingo with his friends. He lived in CA and Wisconsin, but spent most of his life in Fargo ND working at Alloway Manufacturing and Integrity Windows. He was a volunteer firefighter, and active with local VFW and American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alice and Alfred Heitzmann. He is survived by his sister Darlene (Perry) Kleven, nephew Kyle Kleven, and niece Lindsey (Chelsey) Olander. A service will be held at the National Cemetery, Harwood, ND on May 29,2025 at 10:00 am
