Vernon Wood

Vernon Wood, 82, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2025, at his home. He was born August 23, 1942 to the late Charlie Wood and the late Mary Irene Hood Wood. He was a very hard worker, who always put God and family first. He would help anyone in need and had a heart of gold.
Services will be 3:00 pm on Saturday February 15, 2025, at Bean's Ferry Church of Christ in Fulton with Minister J.C. Enlow officiating. Visitation will be 2:00 to 3:00 pm on Saturday February 15, 2025, at Bean's Ferry Church of Christ. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery. Senter Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
Survivors include his children: Teresa Poteet, Thomas Wood, Tina Michelle (Jason) Taylor, James Wood, Trent Wood; grandsons: Charlie Ables, Ben Ables, Adam Taylor, Zach (Katilyn) Taylor; great-granddaughter, Luna Hamilton; great, great grandson, Asta Pitts, many other grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Alene Hester
Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Tommie Lou Wood; daughter, Mary Pitts; granddaughter, Kimberly Ables; and 12 siblings
