Veronica Gayle Adams, 58, of Potomac, IL, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville, IL.

She was born on December 5, 1966, in Danville, IL, to Bob Sego and Betty Whitlow. She previously married Kenneth Adams Jr. in Louisville, KY.

She is survived by one son- Jay (Laure) Crawley of Potomac; two daughters- Natasha (Corey) Krainock of Danville, IL and Raeanne (Dillin) David of Frankfort, IN; nine grandchildren- Natalie, Jeridyn, Camden, Zoey, Oaklen, Keziah, Cohen, Harper, and Nora; mother-Betty Fitzsimmons of Potomac, IL; three brothers- Bobby (Marilyn) Fitzsimmons, Barry Fitzsimmons and Patrick Scott (Bridgett) Fitzsimmons; two sisters- Leann Fitzsimmons and Lynn Fitzsimmons; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, step-father- Bill Fitzsimmons, brother- Stewart Fitzsimmons, and two sisters- Lori Rhodes and Billy Jean Fitzsimmons.

Veronica graduated from Potomac High School in 1985 and was a member of the Potomac Church of Christ. She had a variety of interests, including roller skating, coloring books, and spending quality time with her family, particularly her grandchildren. Veronica cherished her game nights with her lifelong best friends, Robin and Candy, and her brother, Scott, and she had a deep affection for animals, especially her dogs.

A Celebration of Veronica's Life will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 7, 2025, at the Potomac Church of the Nazarene, with Pastors Randy Holden and Randy Walters officiating. Visitation is scheduled from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the church. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Vermilion County Animal Shelter. The Blurton Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements to honor Veronica's life. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family via her memorial page at www.BlurtonFuneralHomes.com.
