Allen, Veronica Dell - Age 72, of Flint, died Monday, December 9, 2024 at The Pines of Goodrich surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, December 13, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Home, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Pastor Brad Foster will preside. Visitation will take place on Thursday December 12, 2024 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and from 12 noon until time of service on Friday December 13, 2024. Interment will follow at Flint Memorial Park. Veronica was born on June 27, 1952 in Flint, Michigan. She attended Hamady High School, graduating class of 1970. She married her soulmate Richard D. Allen Sr.on February 26, 1971. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister, who loved thrift store shopping, weekly visits to Golden Corral, movies, family gatherings, along with outings with her sister, and annual Birthday dates with her sisters. She leaves in God’s care and to cherish her memory: children, Mitchell Baird, and Kimberly Barbier. Sisters: JoAnna Shiakas, Sheila (Robert) Thorn-Rueda, brother: Jeffery Mathis. Granddaughters: Alisha (Arnold) Thomas, Samantha (Jason) Enyart, Ashley (Mike) Bondarenko, Mikayla Beach. Grandsons: Anthony (Madi) Baird and Dakota Barbier. Great Granddaughter’s: Emery, Lyla, Peyton, MaKenna, Piper, and Rylie. She was preceded in death by: her husband Richard, parents, brothers: Dennis and Charlie; son-in-law Richard Barbier, and many special cousins and friends.
