Veronica A. "Bunny" Reder

Veronica A. "Bunny" Reder, age 90, of Bay City, formerly of East Tawas, died on Feb. 12, 2025, at New Hope Bay Assisted Living Facility in Bay City.
She was born the daughter of John and Alberta (Ryers) Pavlik on Sept. 8, 1934 in Bay City. Bunny graduated from Whittemore High School in 1953, and went on to Mercy School of Nursing in Cadillac. She worked for 43 years as a nurse at Tawas St. Joseph Hospital.
Bunny was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church since 1954 and had over 60 years and many countless hours as a volunteer for the American Red Cross. She married Thomas J. Reder on May 9, 1964, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, and they spent the next 52 years together sharing memories. Bunny then assisted him with Tom Reder Catering Business for 35+ years.
Bunny is survived by her two sons, Thomas (Toni) and Paul (Janet) Reder; grandchildren, Justin, Sara Veronica and Michael Reder; brothers and sisters, John (Jean) Pavlik, Stephen (Janet) Pavlik, Sam (Lynn) Pavlik, Darwin (Cheryl) Pavlik and Joe (Sharon) Pavlik; and many nephews and nieces.
Bunny was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Reder; her parents, John and Alberta Pavlik; brother, Vincent Pavlik; sister, Janet Janusz; brothers-in-law, Ralph Janusz and Don Stagray; and sisters-in-law, Pam Pavlik and Barb Pavlik.
Per her wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial mass will be held on Saturday, April 26, at Holy Family Catholic Church in East Tawas. The family will welcome friends from 10 a.m. until the time of mass at 11 a.m. Condolences may be shared at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.
