Vicki Viola Gibson

WINCHESTER - Vicki Viola Gibson, 67, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 22, 2025, with loving family by her side.

She was born on April 25, 1958, in Greenville, Ohio, to the late Clarence and Nova Wilker. On July 25, 1988, Vicki married the love of her life, John Clayton Gibson, and together they built a beautiful family.

She is survived by her devoted husband, John; her three children, Will Westfall (Kate) of Muncie, Karen Byrge (James) of Winchester and Bethany Shaneyfelt (Dennis) of Winchester; thirteen grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; and her brother, Clarence "Sam" Wilker of Muncie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Nova Wilker; and her in-laws, Kritson and Wauneta Gibson.

Vicki worked for many years at Corning Glass, later finding fulfillment in quality control positions at PCI in Union City and Tyson in Portland. She was a dedicated and hardworking woman who always gave her best in every situation.

Her faith in Jesus kept her going. As a member of Old Town Hill Baptist Church, Vicki grew even closer to her Lord and Savior, a comfort to her family knowing she is now at peace in His presence.

Vicki will be remembered for her kindness, her strength, and the way she poured love into everyone around her. She will also be remembered for her love of listening to nature sounds, love of coffee and never missing episodes of "The Young and the Restless."

Though no public service will be held, her family will honor her life privately and carry her memory in their hearts forever.

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7
