Linda Sue Sharp

Linda Sue Sharp, 73, of Parker City, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at her home. Linda was born on November 28, 1951, in Muncie to the late Joseph and Myrtle (Lloyd) Terry.

Linda lived most of her life in Selma, Indiana. She attended school at Selma and Wapahani where she met her beloved husband, Gary Sharp, of 28 years before his passing. Both her and her husband were very involved in the Selma community for many years.

Linda worked at several establishments over the course of the years. Her last place of employment was Aluminum Supply in Muncie, 11 years, and then Office Max in Muncie for 7 years.

Linda grew up and was a member of Eastside Missionary Baptist Church for many years. Later, she attended and became a member of True Light Baptist Church in Muncie.

Linda is survived by her two children, Shawn Sharp (wife Kindra) of Muncie and Melissa Ireland (husband David) of Parker City, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her sister, Phyllis Shoptaw (husband Jim), sisters-in-law, Robin Terry and Aonde Carraway (husband Rich).

Linda was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Gary Sharp; her parents, Joseph and Myrtle Terry; and her brother Bobby Terry.

Linda wanted to thank her daughter Melissa and granddaughter Cheyenne Ireland for all of the care she received from them during these past few months.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, October 3, 2025 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, with Pastor Dennis Trimble and Pastor Jason Trimble officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memory Cemetery.

Family and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel.
