Vicki Alice Pokerwinski age 75, of Kalkaska, Michigan passed away on January 14, 2025. She was born in Pontiac, Michigan to her parents, the late Beverly (née McKinney) and Charles Newman.

Vicki is the beloved and devoted wife of Robert Pokerwinski for 52 years; loving mother of three children – Jeffrey (Joi) Pokerwinski, Robert Pokerwinski and Michele (Terry) Ozak; proud grandmother of Peyton Pokerwinski, Riley Pokerwinski, McKenna Pokerwinski, Amber Kas, Caitlin Ozak and Tyler (Emma) Ozak. She is survived by her brother Tim Newman and sister-in-law Maggie Newman. She is pre-deceased by her brother Dennis Newman.

Vicki grew up in Livonia, graduated from Franklin High School then started her family. She took great pride in helping others beginning employment as a Nurse's Aide in the maternity ward at St. Mary's, worked in a dental office, then later started her own house cleaning business, where she helped seniors run errands and take them to doctor appointments.

Vicki had a love for animals, specifically polar bears and poodles - especially her dogs Mimi, JoJo, Buddy & Pepi. She lived her life to the fullest by engaging in a variety of activities, including amusement parks, off roading, snowmobiling, boating and operating personal watercraft in northern Michigan. There wasn't anything she wouldn't try just for fun and enjoyment. She loved going on vacations with her children and grandchildren.

She loved her family, her life and all of her experiences – each bringing her great joy and fun. Vicki's zest for life and laughter was contagious. She was an inspiration to all those who knew and loved her.
