Vicki Robertson

Vicki June Robertson went to be with the Lord on March 15, 2024. Born in Kerrville, Texas on February 1, 1945, Vicki made her home in Denton, Texas after a life filled with service, passion, and dedication to her faith. A retired teacher and missionary with 41 years of experience, Vicki's love for teaching was only surpassed by her love for the Lord, her family, and friends.
Vicki's devotion to her Faith was evident in her service. She was a loyal servant of the Lord who spent decades ministering to others as a clergy spouse as well as numerous years performing missionary work in the Dominican Republic and Arequipa, Peru. Her religious affiliations included the Society of Anglican Missionaries & Senders, The Order of the Daughters of the King, active membership at St. David of Wales in Denton, and a member of multiple small groups. Vicki was also a member of Sigma Alpha Iota, reflecting her love for music. In her spare time, Vicki could be found playing the flute or singing, filling her home with melodious sound.
Vicki was a widow, having lost her husband Rev. Ronald Robertson. She was also preceded in death by her son, Sean Robertson, and her parents, Charles Vick and June Bunnell. Vicki's memory lives on through her daughter Kimberley Shorter and son-in-law Brian Shorter, her granddaughter Sadie Shorter, and numerous cousins.
In Vicki's memory, let us remember the verse from the Book of Matthew 5:16, "In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven." Vicki lived her life as a beacon of God's love, and her light continues to shine through those who knew her.
A memorial service followed by a reception will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at St. David of Wales in Denton, TX. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the Society of Anglican Missionaries and Senders (SAMS) Great Commission Fund at www.samsusa.org. In addition, we invite you to share memories and upload photos of Vicki to her memorial page. Each memory shared will serve as a comforting reminder of Vicki's impactful life and the love she had for all she encountered.
