Vicki Sue (Carley)Thompson, age 73 of Clay Center, passed away peacefully at her home on December 31, 2025.
She was born on February 3, 1952, the daughter of Charles Franklin and Mildred Irene (Gafford) Carley.
She spent many years working in the healthcare field as a CNA, CMA and home healthcare. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with family. Her hobbies were crocheting, crossword puzzles and cross stitching. She loved spending time outside and collecting Elvis memorabilia.
Vicki is survived by five children; William (Michelle) Overby of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, Heather Overby of Clay Center, Shannon Overby of Linn, Christopher Overby of Topeka, and Steven Trudell; three brothers, Danny (Donna) of St. George, Carroll (Cindy) of Wamego, and Tom of Cottonwood, Arizona; one brother-in-law, Lloyd Friedli of Springfield, Illinois; thirteen grandchildren, Joshua, Kelsey, Rebekha, Samuel, Christopher, David, Faith, Jason, Patrick, Destanie, Danyelle, Nate, and LaKota, and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Mary Friedli and Phyllis Shelton; one sister-in-law, Janice Carley, and one grandson, Joshua Rookstool.
Cremation is planned with services to be at a later date. The Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
