Vickie Lynn Beard, 75, of Taylorville, IL passed away on July 19, 2023, in her home in Taylorville. She was born on November 11, 1947, in Waverly, IL, the daughter of Edward H. Lyons and Betty L. Jackson. Vickie enjoyed quilting, sewing, and playing games on her tablet.

She is survived by her husband: Russell W. Beard of Taylorville, IL; sons: Tony, Tommy and Timmy Blessent and their wives all of Taylorville, IL; stepdaughter: Lisa Behrend, stepson: Brian Beard and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother: Billy Tannahill, sisters: Stella and Jeannie and her stepmother: Marybell Lyons.

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Tabernacle of Praise located behind Subway in Taylorville with Rob Brogdon officiating.

Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville is assisting the family with arrangements.

To all who Vicki loved, my heart goes out to you and I am sorry for your loss. I remember Vickie being kind, having a good heart and a good sense of humor. The world needs more of that not less but we know she's in a beautiful place with no sorrow now.
