Vickie L Broussard

Vickie "Mother" Broussard was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. On December 2, 2022, at the age of 66, she departed her earthly life surrounded by her family. She was born on October 10, 1956, to the late Albert Andrus and the late Mary Kennerson. Vickie graduated from Marion High School in 1974. After graduation she married Darrell Broussard on July 27, 1974. and to this union three beautiful children was born. Vickie was a faithful member of Woodbury Church of Fellowship. Even in her last days, she always wanted to know what day it was because she had to go to church. Before retiring on December 19, 2018, Vickie was a longtime employee of Colonnade Endoscopy Center. Vickie loved cooking delicious meals for her family and friends. Her most prized possessions were her family. She enjoyed making memories whether it was dancing in the kitchen, attending a sports event, or making a handmade costume for her great grandsons.
Vickie was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Andrus and Mary Kennerson; two brothers, Keith and Kerry Andrus; and three sisters, Camelia, Desiree, and Karen Fenner.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving husband, Darrell Broussard; children, Nikki (Rodrick) Guillory, Quincy (Bethany) Broussard, and Sparkle Broussard, all of Lake Charles, Louisiana; 10 grandchildren, Chris, Ta'lar, Cyd-ne, Rawlin, Madison, Landyn, Ry'n, J'dyn, Kamryn and Ty'la; 5 great grandchildren; Zaiden, Tristan, Karter, Ja'loni, and Roysten; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
Her visitation will be Saturday, December 10, 2022, from 12 noon with her funeral following at 2PM, at Truelight Baptist Church, Pastor Dr Alvin J Noel. Pastor Marvin Durgan will officiate. Burial will be in Combre Memorial Park under the direction of James Funeral Home.
