Vickie Lucille Van Meter, age 72, of Marion, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 29, 2025.
Vickie was born on August 2, 1953, in Vanceburg, Kentucky, the daughter of Dallas Eugene and Mildred Katherine (Dyer) Liles. She was a proud graduate of Wynford High School.
On March 14, 1981, Vickie was united in marriage to the love of her life, Craig A. Van Meter. Together they built a home filled with faith, love, and laughter. Vickie was a devoted and loving homemaker who cherished her family deeply. Becoming a grandmother brought her immense joy, and she delighted in every opportunity to spoil her grandchildren.
Vickie was an avid reader, especially fond of books by her favorite author, Beverly Lewis. She was also a longtime member of Cornerstone Alliance Church, where she was active in the AWANA program and the annual Thanksgiving Turkey Drop. In addition, she gave her time generously as a volunteer at the Boys and Girls Club.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children: James Matthew (Monica) Van Meter, Daniel Andrew (fiancé Margot Nevin) Van Meter, and Michael Aaron (Danielle) Van Meter; grandchildren: Kayli, Alexis, Aiden, Carson, and Jaxon Van Meter; and siblings: Randy Liles, Mickel Liles, and Garnet Royal.
Vickie was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Craig A. Van Meter; and siblings Becky Hoffman, Wilma Hoffman, Calvin Liles, and Dallas Liles.
Vickie will be remembered for her kind heart, unwavering faith, and the love she shared so freely with her family and friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday November 4, 2025 at Snyder Funeral Homes, Denzer Chapel, 360 East Center Street, Marion from 10AM to 12Noon; funeral service will follow at 12Noon with Pastor Matt Deeren officiating; burial will be in Marion Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cornerstone Alliance Church: Great Commission Fund, 2010 Marion-Marysville Rd, Marion, Ohio 43302
