Vicky Dianne Howell

Vicky Dianne Howell, age 74, of Amherst, Texas, died Monday, November 13, 2023 in Amherst. She was born October 31, 1949 in Denver, Colorado to Everett L. and Virginia R (Davison) Talley. She married Billy Don Howell on June 5, 1969.
Vicky graduated from Wasson High School in Colorado Springs in 1967. She attended Wayland Baptist College in Plainview, Texas, where she met the love of her life, Bill. They shared 51 years together before his passing in January of 2021. In her early life, Vicky professed her faith in Jesus Christ and knew Him as her Savior. She loved music and particularly enjoyed singing in the choir, gospel music, and country tunes. Vicky had a fondness for animals and worked for many years at the Lamb County Veterinary Hospital. She delighted in crafts of all kinds, and in retirement she could often be found sewing, crocheting, and scrapbooking. She instilled a lifelong love of reading in her two daughters. Vicky was a member of Beta Sigma Phi for almost four decades. Her warm presence and sense of humor will be greatly missed.
Left to cherish her memory are a sister, Debi Nichols and her husband Mark, of Carrolton, Ohio; two daughters: Amy Howell of Hemet, California, and Angee Calvert & her husband Andrew of Mililani, Hawaii; three grandchildren: Ramsey, Layla, & Keira; siblings in-law: Jackie Howell, Kathy & Max Ebeling, Kyla Howell, and nieces: Krista, Julie, Katie, & Emmalee.
