Victor Chaker Obituary
Fr. Chaker came late to the priesthood. He joined Holy Apostles Seminary in 1999, after the love of his life, his wife Denise passed away. When Victor was ordained, he brought all his knowledge, experience and compassion with him to his new role.
Victor is survived by his grandchildren: Jessica (Arjun), Kristina (Ralph), Rosemarie and Sara; as well as his great-grandchildren: Oliver, Isla, Ashwin and Mia. Fr. Chaker has three living sisters, Desiree, Astrid and Celine. He is predeceased by his wife, Denise; and daughter Gigi. His sister, Mary Teres, passed last year.
The reception of the body will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 8, in St. Mary Star of the Sea Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday morning, Feb. 9. He will be interred Tuesday, Feb. 10, in St. Bernard Cemetery in Bridgewater, N.J.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society (http://www.cancer.org).
