PLATTSBURGH – Victor G. Lambert, 95, of Elizabeth Street, passed away January 20, 2026, surrounded by his loving children.

He was born on February 7, 1930 in Windsor, VT, son of Gordon and Dorilda (Duquette) Lambert.

Victor graduated from OLV High School in 1947 and went on to work as a ground school instructor with the United States Air Force until 1955 when he became a corrections officer. Victor worked for over 37 years with the NYS Corrections, retiring from Clinton Correctional Facility in 1992.

Victor married the former Carmen Kelly on June 6, 1953 at St. John's Church and they spent 55 loving years together until Carmen's passing on April 23, 2009.

He enjoyed spending time reading, traveling and canoeing, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.

Survivors include his son, Victor J. Lambert and his companion Patty Moore; daughters, Kathy A. Lambert, Cynthia A. Lambert, and Marilee (David) O'Brien; brothers, Robert (Deborah) Lambert, and Gary (Joan) Lambert; sisters, Victoria (Arthur) Durocher and Elaine Lalama; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents and brother, James Lambert and brother-in-law Danny Lalama.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Walker Funeral Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Peter's Church.

Burial will take place in the spring in St. Peter's Cemetery.
