Victor D. McQuillen, 81, of Carlisle, died Monday, June 16, 2025 at Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center.
Born in Carlisle, he was the son of the late Alvin and Evelyn (Shank) McQuillen and the husband of 57 years to Carolyn (Rhoads) McQuillen.
Victor was a 1963 graduate of Carlisle High School and served in the Pennsylvania National Guard, where he was a member of the Gobin Guards.
He was a member of the Carlisle Elks Lodge # 578, was a volunteer at the annual Penn Twp. Volunteer Fireman’s Fair and was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Carlisle, where he served as an usher and greeter and was the peanut butter egg maker for the St. Paul Peanut Butter Egg Ministry.
Victor also enjoyed watching the Phillies and PSU Football but what gave him the most joy was spending time and watching his grandsons play baseball and basketball.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons: Steven McQuillen and Christopher (Amy) McQuillen; his grandsons: Ryan and Aiden as well as his brother: Dana McQuillen, all of Carlisle.
He was preceded in death by two brothers: Alvin and Eugene.
Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service 11:00 am Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 201 W. Louther Street, Carlisle, PA 17013, where the family will greet guests after 10:00am prior to the service.
THE FAMILY REQUESTS NO FLOWERS. Memorial contributions in Victor’s name may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church at the address above.
