Victor Ott

Victor B. Ott of Owosso, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2023 at the age of 65. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be announced.
Victor was born May 21, 1957 to Merle M. and Pearl E. (Cook) Ott in Lansing, Michigan. He graduated from Howell High School, Class of 1975 and continued his education with Denver Automotive and Diesel College. He married the love of his life, Barbara J. McDonald on July 2, 1983 in Buffalo, New York. He loved working outdoors; favorite past times were spent hunting and target shooting. He was skilled in both welding and woodworking. He was known as a "coffee snob" to his family following one trip to Costa Rica where he acquired a taste for their coffee. Upon his return, he began to grind his own beans and brew his own coffee just to recreate the glorious taste of the perfect cup of java. He and Barbara managed to sneek in one more trip to Costa Rica, a place which held his heart and palate.
Victor is lovingly survived by his wife, Barbara of 39 years; children, Kaylin (Nick) Perfitt, Rebecca (Steven) Lucas, and Bradley (Luis) Ott; grandchildren, Teigan Lucas, Colton Perfitt, Eleanor Lucas, and Easton Perfitt; father, Merle Ott; sisters, Catherine (Rick) Loetz and Margie Wade-Ott, his faithful dogs and companions, Otis and Hannah. He was preceded in death by his mother, Pearl Ott.
The family extends a special thank you to the staff and caregivers with Compassus Hospice for the support and guidance. Memorials in his name are directed to Compassus Hospice so they may continue to support others.
