Victor Méndez Piedra, 66, originally from Montevideo, Uruguay, passed away on August 30th, 2025. He was born on May 21st, 1959, in the City of Tacuarembó, Uruguay.

We remember Victor for his characteristic and contagious smile; for his jokes, humor, optimism, sayings, recitations, and for his barbecues with "mano de mulita." Also, for his entrepreneurial leadership that left a mark on many.

From a very young age, Victor was a leader in his neighborhood Centenario, Tacuarembó. He was a goalkeeper for the youth soccer team in Tacuarembó. He served as a Presidential Escort Soldier in the "Blandengues" de Artigas Regiment, Mounted Unit.

In the 1980s, he was part of the beginnings of Sipalki-Do in Uruguay, where he served as secretary and active member. Later, he became a Sensei with the rank of 4th Dan Black Belt. Throughout the 1990s, he dedicated himself to teaching the Martial Art Sipalki-Do to many young people in his neighborhood Francisco Pla, Montevideo, Uruguay.

Professionally, he stood out as an Automobile Paint and Design Colorist, eventually founding his own company, Méndez Ltda.

The meaning of his name, Victor, in Latin is "victorious man, extroverted and attentive." That is exactly who our father was: a man close to his loved ones, transparent in his feelings, and with a strength that inspired trust and respect; to everyone, a natural leader.

Above all, Victor will be remembered as a Christian believer, with conviction and faith that Jesus is the Son of God, his Lord and Savior.

Victor will live on in the memory of his daughters Andrea "Vicky" (Samuel), Lorena (Eric), and Victoria (Luis); his grandchildren Gabriel (Chadsey), Michael, Bryan, and Leonardo; and his ex-wife Estela. He was preceded in death by his son Victor Charly.

A funeral service in his memory will be held on Thursday, September 4th, 2025, from 10:30a.m. to 12:30p.m. at Gary Panoch Funeral Home located at 6140 N. Federal Highway, Boca Raton, FL.
