Obituary published on Legacy.com by Tres Hewell Mortuary - Seguin on Jun. 26, 2025.
Victor Heath Tatom, 51 of Seguin, passed away on June 24, 2025. Heath was born on May 8, 1974 in
Seguin, Texas to Gay Glenewinkel Tatom Jackson and Roy Don Tatom.
While many knew him as Heath he was also known as: Dad, Daddy, Pa Pa Heath, Patrón, Heater, Heathrow, Coach, Sister, Uncle Geezer, and Stubborn Ass. Heath grew up in Kingsbury, Texas, and graduated from Luling High School Class of 1992. He attended some college at Hillsboro College before going into construction with his dad. Heath met and married the love of his life Tammy, together they proudly raised 3 beautiful children.
Through the years, he touched the lives of many as he continued his career in construction where he found his JEC family and recently began to teach his youngest son the hard work that goes into building a community. Though he loved working most of the time, when he was not working, he would be outside: coaching, fishing, hunting, playing softball, working with livestock, riding the pasture, or anything other than sitting still.
While battling cancer he would say, "you could tell me I'm dying tomorrow and I wouldn't believe you". His stubbornness kept him going just as much as the love and support of all his friends and family. He was the strongest and toughest man you knew, but he had a soft spot for his little Angel Willow (his teenie tiny chihuahua). He was a hard working Texas man who loved his family, his friends, and his dogs with all his heart. He will be dearly missed.
Heath is preceded in death by his father, his grandparents, Lucile and August "Moosey" Glenewinkel, and Virgie Barta, and his brother-in-law, Jeff Hodges.
Survivors include his loving wife of 28 years, Tammy Tatom; children, Taylor Tatom and fiancé Axel Pierson, Tyler Tatom and partner Malaena Scheib, and Ryan Tatom; mother, Gay Glenewinkel Jackson and husband Donald (Don); siblings, Tara Dierschke, and Cameron Jackson and wife Brittany; brother-in-law, Brian Dierschke; sisters-in-law, Connie Komoll and husband William, Bridgette Heiman and husband Dave Petteys, and Bernadette Hodges; nieces and nephews, Clayton and Andrew Dierschke, Reaghan and Landon Jackson, Brittany Tousek and husband Austin, Justin Komoll, Harley Petteys, Braydon, Clayton and Gracie Baker; his JEC Family "Jimmy Evans"; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other loving family members and a host of friends.
