Waynell Neill Tatom

Waynell Neill Tatom passed away peacefully at the age of 70 on November 22, 2025, at Wentworth Place Griffin House in Magnolia, Arkansas.
She was born on January 18, 1955, in Magnolia, AR, to the late William Edwin and Naomi Virginia (Hudson) Neill. She was predeceased by her husband, Steven Lewis Tatom; three brothers, Richard Hudson Neill, Michael Wayne Neill, and Kenneth Roy Neill.
Waynell dedicated 26 years of her life to the Arkansas Department of Health as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Her career was marked by an extraordinary commitment to her patients, touching the lives of hundreds with her compassionate spirit and healing hands. She continued her vocation at Wentworth Place, where her nurturing presence was a source of comfort to many.
A devout Christian, Waynell's faith was the cornerstone of her existence. She was a cherished member of the Church of Christ in Waldo, where she joyfully served and shared her love for the Lord.
Gardening was one of Waynell's greatest pleasures. But above all, her most treasured moments were spent with her adored grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
Waynell is survived by her loving daughters, Staci Wells, Stephanie Brown, and Sara Beth Tatom all of Magnolia. Her grandchildren, Joshua Poiencot, Jr. and wife Kylista of Tyler, TX, Brianna Nipper of Spooner, WI, Mason Crabtree of Magnolia, Courtney Saenz and husband Clemente of Nashville, TN, Kyle Taylor of Malvern, Shelby Emerson of Little Rock, and Sydney Emerson of Waldo; great granddaughter, Katelyn Waller of Waldo; sister, Margaret Ann Hampton and husband (Steve) of Magnolia; nieces, Holly Franks and husband Jeffrey of Macedonia and Gina Roberson and husband Brent of Waldo; and a host of extended family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Columbia Cemetery in Waldo.
Pallbearers will be Brent Roberson, Jeffrey Franks, Josh Poiencot, Jr., Kyle Taylor, Clem Saenz, and Steve Hampton.
