With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Victoria Lynn Doehring, who left this world on June 3, 2025. She was 71 years old.
Vicky was truly one of a kind. "Unique" is the word that best describes her personality. She was hilarious, goofy, and full of life. She laughed at just about everything and embraced her quirks wholeheartedly; track suits and boat shoes, sweaters in the middle of a Florida summer, hats, and sunglasses worn over her regular glasses, even indoors. And then there was "The Wine Station," her favorite boxed wine, which she drank from a Gatorade bottle with a straw. She had a special love for pigs and collected all things pig: pictures, glass figurines, food wagons, statues. If it was pig related, she had it. She adored telling stories, even if you'd already heard them 300 times, and she had a deep love for Tim Burton films.
Vicky was a storyteller, a traveler, an adoring mother, and a loving sister to four siblings. She cherished family trips, especially to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Ohio, and Alabama. She delighted in visiting her children wherever life took them, be it Alaska or Montana, and she approached every journey as an adventure worth savoring.
Vicky was a devoted mom to her children, Matthew and Rachel, and a proud mother-in-law to Melissa. She deeply loved her family and her grand-dogs, never missing a text, a phone call, or a chance to share a funny video. She passed on her love of cooking, her passion for storytelling, her joy in travel, and her appreciation for the weird and wonderful.
Vicky taught her children how to live with joy, how to embrace uniqueness, and how to love without limits. She was our world, and her presence made life infinitely brighter.
Vicky is survived by her children, Matthew (Melissa) and Rachel; her siblings, Jennifer, Anthony (Lisa), Christopher (Michelle), and Rebecca; and extended family and countless friends who were touched by her generosity, laughter, and love.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to celebrate Vicky's love for her favorite animal, the manatee, by making a donation to the Save the Manatee Club.
Her light will never dim, and her smile lives on in all of us."
