Victoria Stevens Overby of Nathalie, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2025, at the age of 68. Victoria was born in Halifax County on October 10, 1957, to Floyd Truitt Stevens and Nellie Holt Stevens, who have preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, David Lacy Overby.
Victoria was a high-spirited soul, known for her infectious laughter and vibrant personality. She had a remarkable gift for nurturing and maintaining close relationships with her family and friends. She was renowned for her excellent cooking, especially her legendary fried chicken, which was a staple at family gatherings and community events. She adored spending time with her friends, creating memories filled with laughter and love. Victoria also made it a priority to keep in touch with her siblings, fostering a strong sense of family unity and love.
She is survived by her husband, David; daughter, Dianna Crews (Jr); step daughter, Kristin Overby; grandchildren, Chris, Dakota & Topanga; 1 great grandchild; sisters, Wanda Smith, Phyllis Sheppard, Tammy Saunders (Mike) and Cynthia Clark; brother, David Stevens (Tinnel) and numerous nieces, nephews & friends.
A Funeral Service will be held at 12:30 PM on Monday, November 10, 2025 at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Coy Terry officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 PM until 12:30 PM.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Brooks Lyon Funeral Home,115 Main Street, South Boston, Virginia.
