It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of our beloved partner, mother, and grandmother, Vida J. Burns, who died after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.

Vida will be remembered for her unwavering kindness, generous heart, and fierce loyalty to those she loved. Her dedication to her family and business was deeply felt by those who knew her. She was never afraid to voice her opinion or mince words, but she was always pure with her intentions and true to her actions. She found joy in simply being "Mama Vida" to her own grandchildren and many more she may have never met in her daughter's classroom over the past 25 years. She will always be remembered as a steady source of compassion for this family. She was our "True North" and always pointed us in the right direction.

Vida is survived by her partner of 16 years, Jim Ailshire; her brother, David (Melissa) Doss; her daughters, Carol Lawson (Tom) and Lisa Tinsley (Tony), and her grandchildren, Carrigan, Trevor, and Memphis. She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Dan; her mother, Jean; her father, Jim; and 2 of her three brothers, Todd and John.

A celebration of life will be held Monday, October 20, 2025 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home in Pickerington, Ohio 550 Hill Rd N. Please join us as we remember the life of this truly remarkable woman.
