She was preceded in death by her siblings: Michael, Joanne and Maureen.

Vida was a long-time girl scout field director with the Green Meadows Girl Scout Council. She was a member of the Tuscola Kiwanis Club. She enjoyed the outdoors and horses.

Vida had a love of animals that started as a young child with Jigs, the wonder horse, and continued throughout her life with many beloved dogs, cats, and horses. Among her most cherished pets were Angel Ann (horse), Duffy Sue (collie), and Red Dog. She also did basic obedience training with a standard poodle named Sheba, who later went on to receive specialized training as a service dog. Vida's deep compassion for animals was something she passed on to her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her love of animals, Vida had a passion for the performing arts. She was an active member of the local community theater, VGCT and ARTCO, where she found joy both onstage and behind the scenes. Whether acting in a production or helping with costumes and sets, she brought creativity, energy, and a generous spirit to every performance. Her involvement in theater brought her lasting friendships and enriched the community she loved.
