Vida Ruby Roberts

Graveside services for Vida Roberts, 78, of Pryor, will be held on Friday, March 4, at 2:00 PM at Fairview Cemetery in Pryor. No visitation is scheduled. Cremation arrangements are under the care and direction of Stephens-Key Funeral and Cremation Care in Pryor.
Vida Ruby (Isley) Roberts was born on October 15, 1943 in Wagoner, Oklahoma to Pryor Leon and Cordelia Ruby (Merrell) Isley. She passed away on February 24, 2022 at her home in Pryor at the age of 78.
Vida grew up in Wagoner where she earned her high school diploma. She later attended college at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah where she studied business.
Vida was married to Presley Dee Roberts in 1983 in Pryor. He preceded her in death in 2004. The most important thing in Vida's life was her family. She adored her kids, grandkids and great grandkids immensely; they were like medicine for her soul. She loved spending time with them at her home cooking, baking, sleepovers and just all-around having fun with them. Vida also enjoyed traveling, if you told her to pack her bags, she was always eager to go. She loved going on trips to Branson and Washington DC especially.
She was a kind person with a wonderful sense of humor. Her grandchildren's friends would often visit her house with them and they all thought of her as their grandma too. She was always trying to inspire and encourage young people to get a good education because she knew how valuable to them it would be.
She was a loving mom, grandma, great grandma and friend to many; she will be greatly missed by all those who shared in her life.
She is survived by her four children, David Smith of Tulsa, Kathleen Husband and husband Chad of Oologah, Vernie "Jr." McNutt of Pryor and Sherie Kaskie of Sand Springs; seven grandchildren, Jaime, Derrick, Ashley, Beth, Taylor, Dasha and David; six great grandchildren, Kendal, Aiden, Katie, Sophia, Jackson and Aria and numerous nieces, nephews and other special family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Presley; an infant brother, Leon; brother Larry Isley and sister, Janie Parana.
