Vincent Catalanatto

Vincent Junior Catalanatto, 84, of St Martin, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2025. He was born on December 17, 1940, in Hammond, LA.
He attended St Martin High School and proudly served in both the Mississippi National Guard and the U.S. Air Force. Vince spent most of his working years at the International Paper Mill in Moss Point.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Angelina Adamo, his father, Paul Catalanatto, step-father, Tony Adamo, brother, John Catalanatto and sister, Janet Williamson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Vivian Masten Catalanatto and their children: Juanita Sheely, Tanya Delacruz and Angela (Keith) Livley.
He is also survived by his grandchildren: Amanda Smith, Ashley Harmon, Vincent Cossey, Deanna Cossey, Krystina Delacruz, Faith (Joel Muro) Webster, Bethany Webster, C.J. Webster; and great grand-children: Colston Cossey, Luke Cossey, Rose Muro-Webster. He leaves behind his sisters, Paula Black and Rosemary (Steve) Landrum.
Vince and Vivian loved traveling and recently enjoyed a cruise to Alaska just weeks before his passing. They also cherished camping trips with family and close friends.
A devoted father to his three daughters, Vince ensured they learned the essentials of fishing, hunting, gardening and basic car maintenance. He also served as a father figure to many in his extended family.
He truly enjoyed his hunting and fishing trips, especially when shared with loved ones. Vince was well-known in the St. Martin area for his homemade wine-especially his pear wine-and for his incredible green thumb. He could grow just about anything. Thanks to his generosity in sharing the trees he rooted, family and community members will continue to enjoy figs, blueberries, and pears for years to come.
Vince was a loving husband, father and grandfather. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025 at the Latimer Community Center (10908 Tucker Rd, Ocean Springs, MS). Visitation is from 4:00pm to 7:00pm, with the service at 5:00pm
