Vincent Henry Favalora, born May 17, 1941, passed away peacefully and in the comfort of family on July 13, 2025. Born in New York City, Vincent spent the majority of his life in New Jersey, the last several decades of which were in Rutherford. He leaves behind Diane Favalora, his beloved wife of 38 years; son Gregg Favalora and daughter-in-law Jennifer Cunningham; stepdaughter Krista Ranley and son-in-law Justin Ranley; and stepson Brian Rzepka and daughter-in-law Donna Rzepka. He is also survived by his sister Lorraine Favalora; adoring grandchildren Jack and Cole Ranley, Zoe and Mikey Rzepka, and Tobias, Gabriel, and Abigail Favalora; and cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Vincent and Diane were married in August, 1987, enjoying many years of companionship together and in the company of family and friends. His humor and sense of adventure enlivened many trips domestically and abroad, with a particular passion for the sights and cuisine of Italy.

His life was rich with the loves of family, science, detailed technical craftsmanship, fine foods, European travel, music, and a fascination with the paths and accomplishments of all those around him. He worked as a clinical chemist, running critical blood tests for hospital patients until a transition to consulting and then retirement in 2006. Through his multidisciplinary life, he was equally enthralled by taking photographs and listening to classical music as he was attending university physics courses, enjoying astronomy, and building experimental scientific instrumentation. Vincent will be deeply missed.

The family will receive friends for visiting on Wednesday, July 16 from 3:00 – 7:00 pm at the Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home (19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford, NJ). There will be a final goodbye on Thursday, July 17 from 11:00 – 11:30 am at Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home. Private Cremation.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a donation to the Parkinson's Foundation.
