Maceroni Funeral Home - North ProvidenceVincent Giandolfi, 76, of Johnston, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2025, at Hope Hospice, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Providence, RI, on May 3, 1949, Vincent was the beloved son of the late Peter S. Giandolfi and Olga R. (Antonni) Giandolfi. He was predeceased by his cherished wife, Gail Marro-Giandolfi.
Vincent is survived by his devoted sisters, Patricia Giandolfi of Providence and Deborah Sorafine and her husband, George Sorafine, of North Providence. He was a proud uncle to his nieces, Gianna Sorafine of North Providence and Alicia Barnes of North Carolina and her husband Billy, and his nephew, Christopher Sorafine of Lincoln. Vincent also shared a close bond with extended family members Paula Guarino and her husband, Steve; Katherine Scott; John Bodge; and Mark Bodge, all of whom held a special place in his heart.
A hardworking and dedicated man, Vincent served as a foreman for the Highway Department in the City of Providence, working through Local 1033 Union from 1975 until his retirement in 2015. In April 2025, he was honored with a 50-year membership recognition for his loyal service to the City of Providence.
Vincent proudly served his country in the United States Army from April 1969 to April 1975.
He will be remembered for his easygoing nature, strong work ethic, and love of the simple pleasures in life—especially watching western movies and listening to the timeless music of Elvis Presley.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, beginning at 9:30 a.m. at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 1804 Atwood Ave. in Johnston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate a life well lived.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Vincent’s memory to HopeHeatlth Hospice, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904.
