Vincent Giordano, 95, known to his family and friends as Vinny Baba, has passed away from his Lancaster, SC home on Friday, September 5, 2025. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on March 28, 1930 to Anthony and Mary Giordano.
Vincent was preceded in death by his wife, Maurine Giordano; son, Anthony Giordano, granddaughter, Kimberly Giordano; brother, Salvatore Giordano; and sister, Jean Balsamo.
Vincent is survived by his daughter, Lucille Dowd and son-in-law, Robert Dowd; daughter-in-law, Tanya Giordano; daughter-in-law, Donna Giordano; sister-in-law, Cathy Giordano; grandson, Vincent Giordano and wife, Jill; great-grandchildren, Gia Sturiale, Isabella Sturiale, Brandon Giordano and Emma Dowd; nieces and nephews, Marie and Salvatore Albanese and family, Salvatorie and Denise Giordano and family; and best friend, Jimmy Rippa.
Vincent came from a family of plumbers. He became a top notch plumber for the local union of NY City, where he spent a long caeer.
Vincent loved to fish, his dream came true on his boat on a lake in the Poconos where he lived. He enjoyed betting on horse racing, spent hours doing his odds for races. He loved animals and had deer on his property that he fed along with birds and squirrels.
Vincent was very charismatic. People were always drawn to him. He loved telling stories, jokes, and a little magic too. He would light up any room he walked in with a smile on his face. His love for family and friends was very strong and deep- he will always be remembered for his warmth, his kind, and his beautiful personality. He will be missed by all that knew him. We will keep him in our hearts forever.
A private service will be held by the family at a later date.
