Vincent J. McVaugh, 72, of Tilden Twp., passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024 in Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center. He was the husband of Dyan L. (Achenbach) McVaugh.
Born in West Reading, he was the son of the late Joseph F. and Elizabeth T. (Hogue) McVaugh. Vince was a self-employed contractor. He was a member of Behler-Hein Post #637 American Legion and Wagner-Good Post #216 V.F. W., both of Hamburg. Vince enjoyed drawing and painting.
Surviving in addition to his wife is his son: Christopher McVaugh, companion of Arielle Haas, Hamburg; a granddaughter: Natalie McVaugh; brother: Michael McVaugh, Florida; and sister: Teresa Steinhauer, North Carolina. Vince was predeceased by a daughter: Shelli McVaugh; and two sisters: Patricia Pursel and Eileen Bricker. He will be missed by his three fur babies: Onyx, Opal and Sapphire; and fish: Rhett Butler.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 10:30 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street, Hamburg (off street parking in rear). A visitation with the family will be held in the funeral home Saturday 9:30 to 10:30 am.
