Vincent Joseph Napolitano, Teaneck – Vincent Napolitano, 85, passed away on October 20, 2025. Vincent was born in New York, NY and raised in West New York, NJ where he attended Memorial High School. He graduated from Jersey City State College in 1962 with a Bachelor of Science degree and in 1965 with a Master of Arts degree. Vincent taught many students, grades, and subjects during his over forty year career in education.
Vincent married the love of his life, MaryLouise Oldfield Napolitano (Suffern, NY) in 1984. They settled in Teaneck and enjoyed family gatherings, a good movie, music, theater, restaurants, and travel. Vinny and MaryLou taught CCD and were active members of Holy Trinity Church, Hackensack, NJ. Vincent was an active member of the Knights of Columbus for many years. More recently, he enjoyed the Golden Age Club of Maywood. Vinny never met a stranger without gaining a friend and is remembered as gregarious, generous, loving, and kind.
Vincent is predeceased by his beloved wife MaryLou, brother Frank, and parents Louis and Norma. He is survived by his nephew Louis Napolitano, Louis's wife MaryAnn, their children Tara, Mark, and Patrick, and their grandchildren Christian and Sebastian. He is also survived by his dear cousin Robert Iorlano, Robert's wife Maria, and their daughter Chelsea.
Visitation will be held Monday, October 27, 2025 from 3-7PM at Edwards Funeral Chapel, Suffern, NY. A funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at 10:30AM at Sacred Heart Church, Suffern, NY with a burial immediately following at Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah, NJ.
