Vincent Pino Obituary

Vincent Carman Pino, 84, of Follansbee, WV, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at his home.

Vincent was born on January 18, 1941, in Follansbee, WV. He was the son of the late Giuseppe Pino and Rose (Quattrone) Pino.

Vincent was a man of faith, family, and generosity. He was a longtime member of both Weirton Covenant Church and Holy Rosary Catholic Church, where he loved attending any service whenever the doors were open.

To know Vincent was to know love. The word selfless merely scratches the surface of how he lived his life, finding the greatest fulfillment in serving others and making their lives better, especially his family. He would actually give the shirt off his back to anyone in need, and his generosity continues to shine through his family and loved ones.

One of the ways Vincent impacted the lives of those around him was through his cooking. Over the years, he fed the local community through his many eateries, including Pino's Pizza, The Food Factory, and his grocery store, Pino's Mart, where his meatballs and sauce were yet another expression of his love to every customer who walked through the doors.

Vincent always said that it was his gift to work, and he cherished that gift every day of his life. In addition to his businesses, he also dedicated many years to Weirton Steel Corporation, where he worked in the Tin Mill and on the bundling line. Even after retirement, Vincent continued to serve others with joy and love, working in the Meat Department at Kroger. He took great pride in being a friendly face to customers and a friend to his co-workers.

A proud Marine Corps member, Vincent carried the values of service, honor, and loyalty throughout his life. His discipline, dedication, and servant's heart were evident in all that he did and to every person whose life he touched in his eighty-four years on this earth.

His immediate response to anyone who wished him a good day was "Have a better one," and he truly meant it. That's who he was. Vincent was a man of character, kindness, selfless generosity, and above all else… love.

He always said he'd be nothing without his family, and he will be deeply missed by them, his friends, and every person who had the privilege to know him.

Vincent is survived by his wife, Johnnie Verner; his children, Vincent Kriss Pino and his wife, Edna Massiel Pino, and Kelly Foglio and her husband, James; and his stepdaughter, Natalie D'Arpino and her husband, Marc. He was a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren: Joshua Foglio, Dr. Aaron Foglio and his wife, Charlotte, Caleb Foglio, Vincent Pino, Joseph Pino and his wife, Hope, and John Pino, Grace D'Arpino, and Hope D'Arpino, and a great-grandfather to Corrado and Eloise Foglio. He is also survived by his sister, Dolores Coe.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday, October 4, 2025 from 11:00 AM until time of Funeral Service at 2:00 PM at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, WV (304) 527-1717 with Pastor James Foglio of Weirton Covenant Church, officiating.

PLEASE NOTE the family kindly requests no live floral arrangements be sent due to allergies. Anyone wishing to donate may do so in his name to Weirton Covenant Church. Your thoughts, prayers, and memories are deeply appreciated during this time.

Interment and Military Honors will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Follansbee, WV with the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad.
