Vincenza Petruzzello

Vincenza "Enza" (Marturano) Petruzzello, 85, of Berlin passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024 surrounded by family. Born in 1939 to the late Vito and Lucia Marturano in Sortino, Sicily. She was the beloved wife of the late Sebastiano Petruzello. Enza was a seamstress for American Bazaar making coats for many years and enjoyed sewing. In her freetime she could be found cooking for friends and family. She made the best Sciacciata, pizzas, and cookies. She loved to be with family whether it was spending time with Sebastiano watching movies together, proudly watching over her grandkids, shopping, cooking, or just sharing a laugh with everyone (and she had the best laugh). Enza was always there for her family and for her two daughters, supporting them throughout their lives and cheering them on.
Vincenza was a kind, caring, and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She leaves behind her two beloved daughters, Lucia Petruzello of Newington and Patricia and husband Anthony R. Yagmin of Kensington, her adored grandchildren Isabella and Anthony Jr., her sisters Sebastiana Caldarella and Maria Giuliano, and her brothers Giuseppe Marturano and Vincenzo Marturano. Along with her parents she is predeceased by her beloved husband Sebastiano, and her sisters, Paolina DeCaro and Carmela Abela.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, April 17th from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Duksa Family Funeral Homes at Newington Memorial, 20 Bonair Ave., directly following will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. at St. Paul Church, 485 Alling St., Kensington. Vincenza will be laid to rest with Sebastiano at Maple Cemetery, 1165 Worthington Ridge Rd., Berlin. Donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org.
