Viola May Turner, of Brant,

Viola was born on August 30, 1942, in Marion, MI. The daughter of Delbert Wonsey and Dorothy Wing. She married her soulmate, Arthur Turner on March 10, 1956, at the age of 13. Together, they had six children, Arthur Jr, Douglas, Jeffery, Todd, Terry, Vicki. She retired in 2012, from Leer Factory in Ovid, and eventually from K-Mart. Viola was known for always being a go-getter. She loved getting out of the house and traveling, going shopping, especially garage-saling, going to the Amish flea market, and craftshows. She loved concerts, being a part of the 'Michigan Road Riders', Shipshewana, and Pow-wows. She was an avid gnome collector, sugar-skull lover, and butterfly admirer. Above all else, she valued her time with her family. Especially her children and many grandchildren.
Viola is survived by her children, Todd (Denise) Turner, and Terry (Jody) Turner; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Arthur Turner; and 4 children, Arthur, Douglas, Jeffery, and Vicki; siblings, Carol and Jimmy.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 from 1:00pm - 4:00pm and 6:00pm - 8:00pm at McGeehan Funeral Home - Martin Chapel. Cremation will follow, with a private celebration of life to follow at a later date.
