Viola Marie Ware

Viola Marie Ware, nee Rowland, was born on Thursday, June 11, 1931 in Leasburg, MO to William "Bill" Rowland and Jessie Russell Rowland. She passed away at Life Care Center in Sullivan, MO on Friday, May 6, 2022, at the age of 90 years, 10 months and 25 days.
She was a lifelong resident of Crawford County and graduated from Cuba High School in 1949 where she played softball and was a teaching assistant. She married the love of her life, Marvin L. Ware, on April 29, 1950 in Salem, Arkansas. They made their home on a farm in the Cuba, MO area and to this union five children were born.
She was a member of Delhi Baptist Church and had made a profession of faith early in life. She was a very active member in the Three Mile Extension Club since 1951. She enjoyed cooking canning, sewing, and quilting. She was a Grand Champion in baking and canning at both the Crawford and Gasconade County Fairs. She had a large garden and fruit trees that produced the vegetables and fruits she canned. She also liked to help her husband on the farm in her spare time, feeding the cows or raking up hay during hay season. She loved her family and large family gatherings such as reunions in Potosi or at Meramec Springs. Her food was quite popular, and she always prepared for an "army". She will be missed by her family and friends.
Viola was preceded in death by her husband Marvin Ware; parents Bill and Jessie Rowland; parents-in-law Jess and Annie Osborne Ware; daughter Jane Ellen Ware; brother Dave (Thelma) Rowland; sisters Ruth Lee, Wilma (Floyd) Kitchen and Betty (Alan) Enloe; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Ed Carlisle, Edwin (Edith) Ware, Roy (Loree) Ware, Virgil (Helen) Ware, Floyd (Fern) Ware, Elmer Ware, and Charles (Mary Lee) Ware.
She is survived by her children Joan (Virgil) Bouse of St. James, MO, Wayne (Barbara) Ware of Jerseyville, IL, Randy (Rhonda) Ware of Cuba, MO, and Sheila (Scott) Jopling of Villa Ridge, MO; brothers Joe (Debbie) Rowland of Fountain, CO and Sam (Sherri) Rowland of Rolla, MO; sister Cleo Carlisle of Sun City Center, FL; brother-in-law Carl Lee of St. Charles, MO; sister-in-law Mary Lou Ware of Vienna, MO; grandchildren Craig (Suzanne) Bouse of Cuba, MO, Cary (Heather) Bouse of Vichy, MO, Chad (Amber) Bouse of Camdenton, MO, Chris (Pam) Ware and Angie Bell both of Jerseyville, IL, Michelle (Jamie) Miller of Pueblo, CO, Joe (Alicia) Hafley of Shawnee, KS, Greg (Kelly) Hafley of Smithville, MO, Jason (Tabby) Hafley of Fort Mill, SC, Gabe Ware (Staci Pfeuffer) of Sullivan, MO, Cody (Tiffany) Ware of Cuba, MO, Gavin Jopling and Gage Jopling both of Villa Ridge, MO; 20 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was from 5:00 – 8:00 PM on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, MO. The Funeral Service was at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, MO with Pastor Joe Bruno officiating. Burial was at Delhi Cemetery, Cuba, MO.
