Violet Irene (Flynn) Cook, 54, of Amboy, IL, passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at OSF Saint Katharine Medical Center in Dixon, IL. She worked as a waitress for 20 years at Al & Ledas in Dixon, making many friends along the way.

Violet was born on March 25, 1971, in Dixon, the daughter of Terry Wolber and Shirley Flynn.

Violet was preceded in death by her father, Terry Wolber; mother, Shirley Flynn; grandmother, Violet "Blondie" Madison; one brother, Teddy Flynn; and special aunt, Vicki "Big Red" Bolton.

She is survived by her children, Violet (Thayer) Havenar (Mike Williams), Emily Elizabeth (Josh) Tanase-McArdle, Joseph (Cassandra) Lewis, Crystal (Evan) Kenney; grandchildren, Aubrey Schaeffer, Chloe and Claire Havenar, Angel Collins, Maverick and JJ (Jr.), and one grandson on the way; brother, Scott Wolber; one sister, Tarena Wolber; close family, Nick Spohn and Freddy Fridricks; and many loved ones.

Violet loved her dogs forever and always, as well as her sidekick and best friend, Robert Cook.

There will be a Celebration of Violet's Life at K's Korner Bar and Banquet in Sterling, IL, on Friday, October 17, 2025, starting at Noon.

In lieu of flowers, please call the Funeral Home to discuss how donations may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.

Arrangements were completed by Preston-Schilling Funeral Home in Dixon.
