December 7, 1948 – January 1, 2025
Violet Hall, beloved mother of Amy (Hall) Webb, loving grandmother of Lux Webb, dear sister of Alvin (Glenda) Hall & Harry (Pam) Hall Sr., and friend to many, passed away quickly and peacefully on January 1, 2025, at the age of 76. She was preceded in death by her parents Harry R. Hall Sr. and Mary A. (Threm) Hall. Violet will be remembered by everyone fortunate enough to know her.
For over 30 years, Violet worked as a secretary at the University of Cincinnati, where her dedication and work ethic left a lasting impression. Much of that time she served as main secretary of the Division of Criminal Justice. Also Violet was able to enjoy over 20 years of retirement after so many years of dedicated work.
Violet had a variety of interests. She loved Hawaii for its beauty and felt a connection to it's rich culture. She was an avid reader, devouring mysteries such as The Cat Who and Murder She Wrote, anything on Hawaii and Egypt, a good Steven King novel, and above all "a good Christmas murder mystery." She also carried a great love for all the little animals that had been her companions over the years.
In her later years, Violet would enjoy a good word search book as she watched her collection of solar toys dance on her windowsill. Every Saturday night was spent enjoying Svengoolie for a laugh and a bit of nostalgia.
Violet also enjoyed the simple joys in life, like chatting with her friends and neighbors, sharing moments of connection. She enjoyed mealtimes with her community. Everyone who knew her felt her kindness and enjoyed her great sense of humor. Many have enjoyed a hearty laugh and a stroll down memory lane with Violet throughout her life.
Violet’s family invites all who knew her to celebrate her life and the memories she leaves behind. The best way to honor Violet is by sharing a kind word with a neighbor, indulging in a piece of chocolate, or simply taking a moment to appreciate life’s little joys, as she did.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial gathering on Saturday January 11th, from 2 pm until time of memorial ceremony at 3 pm, all at the Dalbert Woodruff and Isenogle Funeral Home 2880 Boudinot Avenue Cincinnati, Ohio 45238.
